SENIOR THESIS 2012

"Moan: The Monstrous Sublime" is an attempt to push photography as a medium of truth and memory to create a phantasmagorical world of symbolic attraction and repulsion. In stripping down the figure to its visually erotic forms, the female body is left to wrestle between its identity as a subject and its anonymity as an object. This Senior Thesis Project was exhibited in the Chancellor Green Rotunda along with various locations around campus in May 2012. An accompanying artist manifesto was published in the University literary magazine, Nassau Weekly.

Medium: 35mm Black and white film photography.
